Welcome To The Club
800+ Members Strong and Growing!
We have approximately 800 club members with over 100 new members in 2018! Members can use all of the club facilities. This includes archery, muzzleloader, pistol, rifle, skeet and voice-activated trap ranges. Trout and salmon fishing on one of the top trout streams in the nation and camping in our 25 site campground. In the winter we simply move indoors where we shoot archery, pistols and junior rifles.
In addition to this, we also work with the Michigan DNR to raise 38,000 Chinook salmon and 24,000 Steelhead trout in our rearing ponds for release into the river each spring. This results in a very high return rate of these fish to the release site each year.
A Great Location
The Sportsman’s Club is located approximately eight miles from both St. Joseph and Benton Harbor. There is a pre-1840 Courthouse museum in Berrien Springs that is three miles south of the Club. We have several wineries within a 10-mile radius. We are located 10 miles from Lake Michigan and 40 miles from South Bend, Indiana.
Other attractions in our area include the House of David Museum in Benton Harbor, Curious Kids Museum in St. Joseph, Sarrett Nature Center in Benton Harbor, Fernwood Nature Center in Buchanan, and Warren Dunes State Park in Bridgman.
We teach the Michigan DNR Hunter Safety, Michigan DNR Safe Boating, Personal Protection, and CCW classes.
